Job Title: Business Performance Manager

Location: Lagos

Description

  • The Business Performance Manager (BFM) is responsible for driving organizational performance through data-driven insights, strategic monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role ensures that all business units meet performance targets while maintaining cost leadership, operational efficiency, and profitability across recruitment and care service operations.
  • The BFM plays a critical role in aligning business strategy with execution by tracking KPIs, optimizing costs, improving productivity, and supporting decision-making at executive level.

Key Responsibilities
Business Performance Management:

  • Report to Senior Management on Business performance outcomes.
  • Track performance across departments (recruitment, care services, HR, finance, operations).
  • Identify performance gaps and drive corrective action plans.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide performance frameworks and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable insights.

Cost Leadership & Financial Efficiency:

  • Analyze operational costs including staffing, recruitment, service delivery, and overheads.
  • Monitor cost per hire, cost per care package, and cost per service delivery unit.
  • Partner with the Finance Manager to monitor budgets and reduce cost variances.
  • Drive efficiency in workforce utilization and resource allocation.
  • Develop cost control strategies without compromising service quality.
  • Identify waste, redundancies, and inefficiencies in operations.
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives across all departments.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Develop dashboards and performance reports for senior management.
  • Support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of KPIs.
  • Analyze business data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Monitor implementation of strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Evaluate the success of strategic programs and recommend improvements.
  • Align departmental objectives with organizational goals.
  • Support the development and execution of business strategy.

Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Standardize performance measurement processes.
  • Improve workflow efficiency across recruitment and care service operations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Provide advisory support to leadership on performance and cost management.
  • Present performance insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Work closely with department heads to ensure performance alignment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Business Performance:

  • Achievement of organizational performance targets
  • Accuracy and timeliness of performance reporting
  • Improvement in overall productivity index
  • Departmental KPI attainment rate

Cost Leadership & Efficiency:

  • Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and cost consciousness across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • 6–8 years experience in business performance, financial analysis, or strategy roles, preferably within recruitment, healthcare, or service industries.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, ICAN, CFA, PMP) are an added advantage.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
